A BOLA – «I was ashamed to walk the streets and I thought about suicide» (Juventus)

Luciano Moggi, former director of Juventus, revealed that he thought about committing suicide after the Calciocaos scandal, which ended with the relegation of Vecchia Signora and the loss of the 2005 and 2006 Italian champion titles.

The statements were made in a Netflix documentary, Bad sport: “I was ashamed to walk the streets and at that moment I thought about many things, including suicide to end it all, especially after the first days after the news and the great uproar in the media. Only faith in God saved me. I became everyone’s target… The system didn’t exist, but I only had to pay.”

It is recalled that Luciano Moggi and Antonio Giraudo were the main people targeted in the case and, although neither of them was arrested, both were banned from any activity related to football for life.
