A BOLA – Guillem Cabestany announces departure from FC Porto (Roller Hockey)

Guillem Cabestany’s spell at FC Porto has come to an end. It was the Spaniard himself, on social networks, to announce that he is leaving the dragons, after six seasons at the helm of the blues and whites.

Since 2015, Cabestany has led FC Porto to win two championships, three Portuguese Cups and four Super Cups.

«5:15 I woke up, close my eyes and try to sleep a little longer, I don’t want to wake up yet, I want to try and sleep a little longer to enjoy a few more minutes of the dream I was having. Impossible. I’m anxious, nervous, the same or more than the day I arrived in Porto, the first day I entered Dragao, where I walked in the best hockey rink in the world, the day the dream began. Dreams normally take a few hours at most, but this time it has been extended to six years.

Six years of work, a lot of work, emotions, many emotions, but above all passion, a lot of passion, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, of passion and enjoying the luck I had to be able to live professionally from that that I like the most, roller hockey. Few people are lucky enough to be able to dedicate myself fully to what I like to do most in life.

That’s why I will never be able to thank all that FCPorto, its workers, players, staff members and fans have done for me. Once again thank you very much, I will always be missing you all.
But like all dreams, there comes a moment when it’s time to wake up, and today it’s about waking up, waking up to leave.

And I’m nervous and anxious, the same or more than the first day I arrived in Porto, because I really want to return to my homeland, I really need, I need my family (a lot), my street friends, the usual landscapes to be able to recover the perspective and from afar enjoy even more the memories of these wonderful six years of my life.

Thank you very very much everyone.
See you at the hockey rinks.
A big hug from Portista.”
