In a statement sent to the CMVM, Benfica informed that the General Meeting of SAD was suspended due to the “positions expressed by the representative of four minority shareholders”. Work will resume on January 24, at 7 pm, by videoconference.
At stake, it should be recalled, is the decision to recompose the social positions of the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board and the Board of the General Meeting.

«Sport Lisboa e Benfica – Futebol, SAD informs, under the terms and for the purpose of the provisions of article 248-A of the Securities Code, that within the scope of the appreciation of the single point of the extraordinary General Meeting convened for today, January 6, 2022, at 7:00 pm, to resolve on the recomposition of the social positions of the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Board and the Board of the General Meeting and the election of the members of the respective bodies for the term of office for the four-year period 2021/2025, and considering the positions expressed by the representative of four minority shareholders, it was decided to suspend the work, which should be resumed on January 24, 2022, at 7:00 pm, in the same format, that is, exclusively through telematic means, with recourse to videoconferencing (in accordance with the provisions of article 377, paragraph 6, point b) of the
Commercial Companies Code).»
