A BALL – Celtic pressed to advance by Jota (Benfica)

Celtic are satisfied with the performance of Jota, 22-year-old forward lent by Benfica, and are thinking about moving forward to the definitive purchase of the under-21 international. Fans and commentators are putting pressure on Celtic not to wait for the end of the season and to invest in the definitive purchase of the forward loaned by the eagles.

Jota headed to Glasgow at the end of August, after undergoing medical examinations in France, and the loan agreement stipulated an option of €7.5 million for 70 percent of Jota’s pass for the definitive purchase of the player incarnate. Celtic have until the end of the season to trigger this preference, but the Scots admit buying the striker now. Several commentators and former players, such as Paul Lambert and Owen Hargreaves, have been pressing Celtic to move forward through Jota, as the price is low and the player’s potential is quite large. The performance of the day before yesterday, with Ferencváros, in the Europa League, increased Jota’s status. Celtic beat the Hungarian champions 3-2, with Jota scoring the Scots’ second goal.
