PHASE 1

  • MADRID’S COMMUNITY – After two attempts and much controversy, the Community of Madrid is ready to progress to phase 1 next Monday. The jump, actually, is not very big, because last week Madrid stayed in a 0.5 stadium, in which it had access to a good part of the advantages of stage 1, except for the opening of terraces at 50% and the social gatherings of up to 10 people.
  • CATALONIA – Barcelona and its metropolitan area (South and North) will go to phase 1 and will join the areas of Girona, Lleida, Catalunya Central, Alt Penedès and Garraf, which were in phase 1 since May 18
  • CASTILLA AND LEÓN Its nine provinces will pass fully to phase 1: Salamanca, Zamora, León, Palencia, Burgos, Soria, Segovia, Valladolid and Ávila. The entire territory of the community will be in phase 1 from Monday, when adding the provincial capitals to the 68 basic health areas that were since the 18th.
  • CASTILLA LA MANCHA Three of the five provinces of the autonomous community will stay one more week in phase 1. Ciudad Real, Toledo and Albacete
  • VALENCIAN COMMUNITY It is the only autonomous community that has not asked to progress this week due to the risk of a new outbreak. Its three provinces (Valencia, Alicante and Castellón) will therefore remain in phase 1.
  • ANDALUSIA – The provinces of Malaga and Granada, which joined phase 1 on Monday 18, will stay one more week in the same step, although the rest of the Andalusian provinces will progress to the next stage

STEP 2

  • CATALONIA – Only the most advanced health areas: Camp de Tarragona, Terres de l’Ebre and Alt Pirineu-Aran, as requested by the President of the Generalitat, Quim Torra.
  • ANDALUSIA – Six of the eight provinces of Andalusia will progress to phase 2 on Monday 25. Almería, Jaén, Córdoba, Seville, Cádiz and Huelva
  • CASTILLA LA MANCHA – The provinces of Guadalajara and Cuenca will go to phase 2 of de-escalation starting next Monday
  • GALICIA – All its provinces will progress to phase 2: Ourense, Pontevedra, A Coruña and Lugo
  • ASTURIAS – The Principality of Asturias will pass in its entirety to the next phase in the deconfinement plan
  • CANTABRIA – Like its neighboring communities, Cantabria, after two weeks in phase 1, will go on Monday to phase 2
  • CANARY ISLANDS – It was the only community next to the Balearic Islands that already had part of its territories in phase 2 (El Hierro, La Gomera and La Graciosa) and on Monday all its islands will be in that phase (Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma )
  • ESTREMADURA – Both Cáceres and Badajoz will advance to phase 2, as announced by the Minister of Health this afternoon
  • BALEARIC ISLANDS – Ibiza, Menorca and Mallorca go to phase 2 on Monday and join Formentera, with which all the Balearic Islands are already in that phase.
  • BASQUE COUNTRY – Its three provinces (Álava, Guipúzcoa and Vizcaya) will be in phase 2 from May 25
  • ARAGON – Its three provinces (Zaragoza, Teruel and Huesca) will go to the next stage in the deconfinement plan on Monday after being in phase 1 since May 11
  • MURCIA – The entire Region of Murcia will progress to the next phase from Monday, after being in the first of the stages since last May 11
