The construction of a national information system for the prevention and protection of domestic violence is already underway and should be operational from August, the Council of Ministers announced on Tuesday.

It will record all the data on the acts of domestic violence, the victims, the perpetrators and the relationships between them, the type of violence (physical, mental, sexual, economic, restriction of rights, etc.), the duration of the violence, the damage caused to the victim, the history of violence. The register will also include requests for the issuance of a protection order or prosecutor’s requests, the measures imposed by law, etc. There will also be data on the companies that deal with such cases.

“At the moment, part of the information required by law is stored in the Unified Information System for Combating Crime (EISPP), another will be collected through the information system in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which is currently being developed, and the information about children who have suffered from domestic violence is expects to be provided by a third system”, says the government.
