13-year-old boy who was shot in the head on Staten Island dies.

The incident occurred at around four in the afternoon last Friday in a park near the Stapleton Houses neighborhood.

The minor was identified as Jamouré Harrell.

This afternoon there will be a vigil in his honor. The call is scheduled for 5 pm at the intersection of Tompkins and Broad streets.

According to sources close to him, the victim is a student at Eagle Academy, which is not far from the park where he was killed.

The teen was hanging out with some friends at the basketball courts when shots were heard.

Police think he was the intended target, but are still working to determine the motive for the case.

The search continues for two suspects.
