Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the Kiev Security Treaty

Kiev is working to ensure that the strongest countries in the free world become the guarantors of Ukraine’s security, the Ukrainian leader said.

The main objective of security guarantees for Ukraine is to prevent an armed conflict against our state in the future. In this regard, Tuesday 13 September declared President Volodymyr Zelensky during a traditional video speech.

“There is a result in our work on security guarantees for our state. Today a package of recommendations from the international group was presented under the leadership of Andriy Yermak and Anders Fogh Rasmussen – these are the recommendations that should form the basis of the future system of security treaties that will leave Ukrainians alone and will be able to ensure the prevention of any war against Ukraine “, he has declared.-

According to the head of state, Kiev is working to ensure that the strongest players in the free world become the guarantors of Ukraine’s security.

“To determine in detail at the multilateral and bilateral level who, how and when should respond in the event of a threat to the security of the state of Ukraine. React with sanctions, provide weapons, all necessary materials and financial support,” Zelensky said.

One of these steps, the Ukrainian leader stressed, should also be preventive measures aimed at “cooling the aggressor’s intentions”.

“Together with our partners, we have already built a powerful anti-war coalition, which includes dozens of different states. And now we are working to ensure that the most powerful states that are already helping us become an ongoing peace coalition,” the president summary.

Recall that in Russia, recommendations on security guarantees published by the Office of the President of Ukraine called “escalation”and it has also threatened Ukraine’s Western partners with a conflict with “nuclear Russia”.
