Yunén Prioritizes Vaccinations amidst the COVID-19 Crisis

That’s what the doctor thought Jose Rafael Yunenpresident of the Board of Directors of the Yunen Group, when participating as a panelist on the topic Public-Private Alliances and their role in the preparation and response to Covid-19, during the First Technical-Academic Symposium “Evaluation of the Response and Mitigation of the Impact of the Pandemic in the Dominican Republic: Three-Year Perspective of the Diagnosis of the First Case, carried out by the Ministry of Public Health.

The critical medicine specialist said that the country demonstrated the usefulness of prophylaxis in disease management, using drugs such as hypochlorite, hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, and vitamins to prevent severe disease and reduce the need for hospitalization.

“On the other hand, the critical care residency program allowed medical personnel to be properly trained to deal with the most severe cases of the disease,” he said. Managing the pandemic has required a joint effort by the health authorities and the general population, said the doctor.
