The famous performer Yorgos Dalaras is rehearsing hard for his upcoming concert in Plovdiv, “24 Chasa” learned. The star will come out on September 2 at the Ancient Theater with an impressive band of Greece’s best musicians. With him will be his duet partner Aspasia Stratigu, who also accompanied him to his concert in Sofia in Hall 1 of the NDK in 2019 together with another famous performer Violeta Ikari.
The most famous singer in our southern neighbor has prepared a repertoire for the Plovdiv audience with the most iconic Greek songs. Among them is the famous “Sagapo yati ise orea” (I love you because you are beautiful), which the Greeks literally go crazy for.
“This is a song more than 500 years old that is performed to this day,” said the Greek bard in 2019 in Sofia. And he sang it in a unique way, and the hall burst into applause. It is difficult because it has complex curves and very high notes and not every Greek performer can sing it. For Dalaras is one of his trademarks in his vast repertoire.
