Argentina advances with its mass vaccination campaign against coronavirus and this Saturday he exceeded the 67.5 million vaccines received since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, with the arrival from China of two dose shipments of Sinopharm and a delivery from the Richmond laboratory.
Two new shipments with a total of 1,632,000 vaccines from the Sinopharm laboratory arrived at the Ezeiza International Airport. Of these doses, 1,440,000 arrived in the country through flight AR1073 from Argentinian airlines, and the remaining 192,000 landed in the morning on Lufthansa flight LH510.
These vaccines are in addition to the 1,440,000 doses from the same laboratory received on Friday, as well as the batch of 183,625 Sputnik V component 2 vaccines delivered by Richmond.
In this way, Argentina incorporated in two days more than 3.2 million units therefore, it exceeds 67.5 million vaccines against SARS-CoV-2.
Of this total, 28,856,000 correspond to the Sinopharm laboratory, 14,234,820 belong to Sputnik V (9,775,655 from component 1, and 4,459,165 from component 2), and 3,129,125 to Sputnik V produced in Argentina by Richmond Laboratory ( 1,179,625 for the first component, and 1,949,500 for the second).
While the firm AstraZeneca corresponds to 16,966,900 doses (580,000 from Covishield; 1,944,000 received by the Covax mechanism, 13,200,500 from AstraZeneca and Oxford whose active ingredient was produced in Argentina; and 1,242,400 donated by Spain) . Another 3,500,000 belong to Moderna donated by the United States, 400,000 to CanSino and 421,200 to Pfizer.
According to information from the Public Vaccination Monitor, until Saturday they were distributed 55,269,629 doses nationwide, while applications total 50,755,054. In turn, 29,416,768 people started their scheme and 21,338,286 completed it.
