With limitations, movie theaters reopen, except those in NYC

Starting next Friday, movie theaters across the state, with the exception of those in New York City, will finally be able to reopen at limited capacity.

Governor Cuomo authorized these businesses to reopen at 25% capacity and will gradually reach a maximum of 50% per projection.

The use of the masks is mandatory all the time but it is allowed to remove it momentarily to consume food or drinks.

Movie theaters will also assign the location of participants to ensure social distancing.

This decision comes after months of criticism of the limitations Cuomo has imposed on film companies and entertainment groups.
