The new wireless charger from Xiaomi can fully power a smartphone within nineteen minutes, the Chinese company promises in one press release.
That should make it the fastest wireless charger available right now. The device has a charging power of 80 watts. That’s more than the 50-watt charger introduced by the company last year.
According to Xiaomi, the charger can charge a smartphone with a 4,000mAh battery at 10 percent in one minute. The device is at 50 percent in eight minutes and the battery is completely full in nineteen minutes.
Not a supported smartphone yet
The charger will only work with a supported smartphone, which is not currently being sold. Xiaomi has not yet announced plans for such a phone.
The fastest charging Xiaomi phone is the Mi 10 Ultra, which is powered wirelessly at 50 watts. Wired it charges with 120 watts.
