“[Doctors] basically said that because she was drinking so much, it was starting to affect her headspace and her brain,” Hunter shared in the “Where Is Wendy Williams?” docuseries.

Hunter shared the doctors’ diagnosis, “So, I think they said it was alcohol-induced dementia.”” Williams, who is 59 years old, was made aware of her brain damage in 2019 during her stint in a Florida rehab facility. However, it was not until 2023 that she received the official dementia and aphasia diagnosis.

Williams’ former attorney has cast doubt on her diagnoses, questioning if her health conditions are even genuine or a result of the court-ordered guardianship. Thomas reflected on the stark and sudden contrast in Williams’ health and questioned the access Williams’ son has to her after the guardianship.

Thomas expressed concerns, stating, “How did her health deteriorate so quickly, and why isn’t her only child allowed to be by her side. She wasn’t like that when he cared for [her].” The attorney claimed to have filmed Williams two weeks prior to the court-ordered move to New York that led to her placement under guardianship.

In the midst of controversy, it is worrisome to witness Williams’ significantly changed health condition and the circumstances surrounding her designated guardianship.
