KUALA LUMPUR, iNews.id – A woman pregnant positive Covid-19 in Johor, Malaysia, had to give birth to alone in the isolation room because there was no one to help him. The incident occurred in July and is currently being investigated by authorities.
The Johor State Health Service (JKNJ) investigated reports of a woman giving birth herself in a special isolation room for pregnant women at a hospital. Officials only found out about this case after the story became viral of Facebook.
Utusan reported, the woman posted her experience on Facebook on July 31. It said she was forced to give birth herself after her requests for help from hospital staff were ignored.
The head of JKNJ Aman, in a statement Wednesday (1/9/2021), said the agency would conduct a more detailed investigation into the incident and take the necessary action.
It was stated that the patient was a 36-year-old woman with 39 weeks of gestation.
