VIOLENCE – Seven members of “The Trinitarians” arrested in raids in New York

At least seven suspected members of the “Los Trinitarios” gang were arrested in New York on charges of murder and extortion.

According to information published by PIX11, officers from the New York Police Department (NYPD) raided the early hours of this Tuesday in which they arrested alleged members of the bargain “Sunset”, belonging to “The Trinitarians”, including An alleged leader.

These arrests are linked to the arrests of 15 members of the “Los Sures” gang last October.

So far, the police department has not disclosed the identities of the members or their nationalities.

According to the New York media, “Los Trinitarios” is a Dominican-American band that was created in the prison system and later spread throughout the Big Apple with over a thousand active members.

Likewise, the criminal organization is linked to cases of drug trafficking, robbery, fraud, among other crimes.

Several members of the “Los Trinitarios” gang were accused of killing the Dominican teenager Lesandro Guzmán Feliz “Junior”, in an incident that occurred outside a winery in El Bronx, New York, on June 20, 2018.

On October 11, 2019, a New York court sentenced five members of “Los Trinitarios” for the murder of Lesandro Guzmán.

Jonaiki Martínez Estrella was sentenced to life in prison without parole; José Muñiz 25 years for life with the possibility of parole; Manuel Rivera, 23, to life imprisonment; Elvin García from 25 years to life imprisonment and Antonio Rodríguez Hernández Santiago to 25 years to life imprisonment.
