Three people died in a serious accident that occurred on the Lovech-Pleven road before the junction for the village of Slatina, confirmed the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Lovech. The road is closed and a detour route is taken through the villages of Goran and Slatina.
The incident was reported at 3:45 p.m. According to initial information, two cars with Pleven registration collided on wet pavement. A fire department and an ambulance are trying to help the survivors.
Three people died on the spot, and two were taken to hospital in serious condition, the Center for Emergency Medical Assistance in Lovech informed, BTA reported.
A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated and the reasons for the incident are yet to be clarified.
