The house of 37-year-old Zahari Shulev, accused of teasing a dog in the capital’s “Karpuzitsa” district, has been gutted. The two-story building at 2 Byala Ruja street has broken windows, a broken fence and a facade covered in eggs and all kinds of rubbish.
Disgruntled citizens also cut part of the fence in front of the rapist’s entrance, as well as blocked his garage with a garbage container. The gates of his property are written with obscene inscriptions, reported “Telegraph“.
Shulev was charged with a crime under Art. 325b, para. 2, point 2, in conjunction with par. 1 of the penal code, for which the penalty is “imprisonment” from 1 to 3 years and a fine from 2,000 to 5,000 levs. He is in pre-trial detention for up to 72 hours and the prosecutor’s office should ask the Sofia District Court for a permanent pre-trial detention measure.
