The Mysterious Murder of Influencer Jonas Aarseth Henriksen Leaves Norway in Shock

He drove to a lonely holiday home, in the end he was dead. All of Norway is puzzled about the murder of the influencer Jonas Aarseth Henriksen.

He drove his truck through Norway, shot videos and became a minor celebrity on TikTok with 57,000 followers. But now Jonas Aarseth Henriksen is dead. The owner of a transport and well-drilling company was found dead in his car.

Mysterious incidents surrounding the 30-year-old have been piling up for years. The spook began with a burning van in front of a company premises that the influencer had rented. A burning truck in a gravel pit followed in September 2021. In February 2022, another Henriksen truck was hit. Just two months later, the influencer was attacked and beaten by two strangers, requiring hospital treatment. The perpetrators were never caught.

Influencers lived in fear

Again and again his cars or those of his employees were painted and soiled with paint bags. There have been a total of 14 attacks of this type since the end of 2021. Most recently, unsettling graffiti has been added to the attacks. In the area where Henriksen lived and worked, the phrase “Tyster Jonas” (“Shut up Jonas”) became more and more common.

When Henriksen realized what a predicament he was in, he made a momentous decision. He posted photos of his injuries and video footage of strangers sneaking around his home on Facebook. He wrote: “I never wanted to publish all this because I was afraid it would escalate. The nightmare is now so huge that I need all the help I can get.”

Found in an abandoned place

He was right in his suspicion, he was dead three months after he posted. Jonas Aarseth Henriksen was found shot dead in his car in a deserted area near the village of Nes. Shortly before the murder, Henriksen had been on his way to a secluded holiday home.

He was only found because he had previously shared his location with a friend. When Henriksen could not be reached for a long time, he became suspicious, drove to the location – and made the terrible discovery.

It is not yet known whether the influencer wanted to hide in the deserted place out of concern for his life or whether he was called to the area to drill a well. Since then, there has been speculation on the social media platforms as to who could be responsible for the death of the influencer.

“We have a number of interesting leads, but we cannot yet say why he was there,” said police spokeswoman Tine Henriksen. Meanwhile, his family is asking for all speculation to stop and hopes that “anyone who knows anything” will contact the police.
