The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed the incorrectness of the circulation of numbers and statistics of Corona Virus Patients (Covid-19) in Egypt on the pages of social networking sites, denying the Ministry’s relevance to these circulating statistics, which bear the slogan of the Ministry of Health and Population.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, adviser to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the ministry, explained that all these documents are incorrect and are false to the Ministry of Health.
Mujahid appealed to all Egyptians not to extract information except from its official sources, especially at this precise time the country is going through, stressing that the ministry announces all numbers and details formally and accurately and with the utmost transparency and under the supervision of the World Health Organization.
The Ministry of Health and Population calls upon citizens and visitors of social media and news sites that circulated these false documents, to investigate the strict accuracy of the information published, refer to official sources and publish official numbers issued by the official data of the Ministry, in order to prevent causing confusion, anxiety and panic among citizens.
