“Everyone who received the first dose of Covishield vaccine will also receive the second dose, which is made on this platform. We are currently using 500 thousand doses of this vaccine for the first vaccine. The national technical expert group, taking into account the recommendations from the UK, Germany, France, also recommended to the Ministry of Health transfer the second dose from four weeks to 12 weeks. Therefore, we have three months in stock to supply the next batch of vaccine, “Lyashko explained.

He also noted that 170 thousand doses of SKBio vaccine, which is produced in South Korea under the license of AstraZeneca, will arrive in Ukraine within the framework of the COVAX initiative in May.

“I would like to emphasize that the vaccine from AstraZeneca, no matter what platform it is produced on: it is on a European site, or in India, or in Korea, it can be combined for both the first and the second vaccination. therefore, we are expecting the next delivery of the vaccine, “explained the chief state sanitary doctor of Ukraine.
