Jurors of the Moscow City Court passed a guilty verdict to a native of Kyrgyzstan Nurlan Muratov in the case of the murder of policeman Andrei Raysky in the office toilet of the Kurskaya station, reports “RIA News”. He was found guilty of violating the life of a law enforcement officer (Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The jury indicated that he deserved leniency. Thus, the court cannot impose on it the maximum punishment provided for by the imputed article.
According to investigators, on the night of September 3, 2018, a 23-year-old police sergeant of the 4th Department of Internal Affairs at the Moscow Metro Andrey Raysky at the Kurskaya-Koltsevaya station stopped drunk Nurlan Muratov. He did not have any documents, and the policeman suggested that he go into the police room to draw up an administrative protocol. On the way, a policeman brought the detainee to an office toilet. There, according to investigators, the accused grabbed a gun from Andrei Raysky and shot him. The defendant’s lawyer insists that there was an accident: according to the defense, the gun accidentally shot in the hands of a policeman, and the bullet ricocheted into the sergeant.
According to one version, the policeman tried to “negotiate” with the detainee on what conditions would release him without a protocol. At that moment, Nurlan Muratov grabbed a gun from Andrei Raysky and shot him in the head.
When the suspect was detained, he denied his guilt, but later wrote sincere confessions about the murder of a policeman. Muratov pleaded not guilty in court.
