A unique survival challenge is just around the corner. A tropical paradise turns into a nightmare for a group of contestants, in which they have to fight not only with the lack of food and comfort, but above all with each other. Only one can win the fabulous prize of 2,500,000 crowns.
Just like last year, well-known faces from Czech and Slovak show business and personalities from the public will take part in the spectacular challenges on the island. Two tribes of the bravest and toughest candidates will face each other. Their adventure will again be accompanied by the experienced moderator Ondřej Novotný.
Each of the contestants will face one of the biggest challenges in their lives and face unforgiving conditions. On hunger, in isolation and without the achievements of civilization. They will have to deal not only with opponents, the jungle, lack of food and physically demanding tasks, but also with themselves. To survive they will have to build a safe haven, build and maintain a fire, and get food.
Survivor Czechia & Slovakia 2023 will be physically and mentally more demanding than previous years, full of new challenges and unexpected twists. Conditions on the island in the Dominican Republic will be tougher. The contestants experience real life in the wilderness on their own. But only one of them will survive and take home 2,500,000 crowns.
Among the famous faces who will fight on the island are, among others, actor Václav Matějovský (26), ex-footballer Petr Švancara (45), Slovak YouTuber Filip Jánoš (26) or barman and influencer Hana Gelnarová (21).
Matějovský appeared on camera as a schoolboy when he played Mikuláš Seidl in the TV series Ulice. He has his own morning show on Fajn radio. And recently he shined in the series O mje se nej nej as the self-confident lawyer Martin. Before leaving for the Dominican Republic, Vášek revealed that he’s not afraid of anything: “I don’t want to pretend I’m not afraid of anything, but I don’t know what to expect. Maybe I’m not afraid to sleep outside. I can even pee in front of the camera.”
Former striker Švancara, who spent most of his career at Zbrojovce Brno and is often referred to as an icon of Brno football, has admitted some concerns, while Vašek has not. “I definitely won’t feel comfortable around negative people. And I’ll probably be annoyed by bugs, which I don’t really like. Spiders, mosquitoes, I don’t know what awaits us there. I will miss my family more,” says Švancara.
Slovak YouTuber Jánoš, better known in Slovakia under the nicknames FiFqo or Fifo, has already arrived on the island. Last year he won the reality television show Markíza Farma. “I’m really looking forward to Survivor, but the closer it gets, the more scared I am. I’m not afraid of hunger, but I’ve found that there won’t be a toilet or I won’t have a place to brush my teeth,” said Jánoš.
Gelnarová is followed by hundreds of thousands of fans on social networks. “I like meeting new people and I also like to try what my body can handle. However long I may be hungry, in the sun, under physical stress, I would never try here,” the bartender said.
The toughest Czech reality show Survivor starts on Voyo January 25 and February 1 on TV Nova. You will be able to watch it every Wednesday and Thursday night.
