NEW YORK, KOMPAS.TV – For some, the mass shooting incident in the United States (US) may stop during the Covid-19 pandemic.

But, really, it’s not. The mass shooting incident never stopped. They just go unpublished.

The Archives of Gun Violence (GVA), which defines a mass shooting as a shooting incident in which 4 or more people were injured or killed, excluding the shooter, recorded more than 600 such cases in 2020. Compare this to the previous year, 2019, which recorded 417 cases. .

The massacres through mass shootings will continue until 2021, with a total of 147 mass shootings until April 16. The non-profit organization GVA alone has recorded 11 cases of mass murder, defined as 4 or more deaths, in 2021.
