A remake of the iconic 1999 city-building strategy Faraon is coming. The game will be released digitally via Steam next week. So it’s no wonder that Dotemu comes with eight-minute gameplay trailer. In it, we can see the redesigned graphics and gameplay.
The video covers all the basics of building, from the usual gathering of resources and early construction to trading with nearby towns. Notice the redesigned user interface, which is supposed to simplify the work of building and managing the city.
The developers from the Triskell Interactive studio did not want to underestimate anything and called for help certified Egyptologistto ensure the game’s historical accuracy, at least in terms of architecture.
They are a surprise Czech subtitles. They won’t be in the game officially, instead a hack managed to mine all the texts from the demo and translate the game before release. It has not yet been determined when it will be possible to download the Czech version.
Pharaoh: A New Era will be released on 2/15/2023 and will also include a standalone expansion Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile from 2000, which together with the original game offers more than 100 hours of gameplay, 53 missions, a complete map and mission editor and a Free Build mode (unlimited construction).
