After playing just 267 minutes in nine games last season, 32-year-old Andreas Samaris has become a player who is not in Jorge Jesus’ plans this season, bearing in mind that he would still start the season with limitations following surgical intervention to the right Achilles tendon, performed last March. The midfield is one of the sectors where more changes are planned and the Greek is one of the players with the exit label. The possibility of not even joining the squad in this pre-season start was even considered, but Jesus chose to call him, giving SAD time to negotiate the next steps in the best way possible.
