Thiruvananthapuram – Actor and BJP state vice-president Devan says that the BJP will come to power in Kerala in the near future. He was speaking to the media after being elected as the BJP state vice-president. BJP has huge grassroots support. Some people joined BJP because of its glamour. But he also accused them of giving some reasons to leave the party.
“BJP has a big future in Kerala. There is good support at the bottom. Actions to utilize it are not enough. It’s nobody’s fault. is the overall problem. Support is not enough for the team to win the game. Only if the players play together will there be victory. I have ideas for that. No political movement can succeed in Kerala by excluding the minority. Within them there is a slavery created by other political movements that BJP and RSS are terrorists. You have to go from house to house to change it. Look into their eyes and speak the language of love.
I am a person who single-handedly faced a huge defeat against all the three organizations namely Congress, CPM and BJP. I started operations from failure. The question many people ask is what did they do after joining politics. I have been involved in many issues. No one would have intervened as I did in the Mullaperiyar matter. Negotiations with Tamil Nadu and Kerala took place as a result of my efforts. I found the corruption in SmartCity. I was very well involved in labor issues in the Peerumedu tea estates. To understand the problems of workers.
Bheeman Raghu and Rajasena are my friends. They are not politicians. I came to cinema from politics. They had no political thought except that they came to BJP because of some glamour. So he suddenly left the party giving a reason. I remained here without status. I have not gone to any other party except Congress and my party.. The strong political party here called me. K.Surendran came to the matter of status when he suggested to become active in BJP. I will not contest in the present Lok Sabha. I am not in a position to get a seat. My work is to actively grow the party in the field of organization.
BJP has tainted leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Success of Suresh Gopi is the need of the country. There is good hope that Suresh Gopi will win. People in Kerala want Suresh’s success. It is understood that they have Suresh Gopi in their mind” – Devan said.

Union Minister V. Muralidharan will also participate.

Re-examination Committee Appointed to Study Recommendations of Participatory Pension Scheme for State Government Employees
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM ∙ A committee comprising Finance and Law Ministers and the Chief Secretary has been appointed to study in detail the recommendations of the Re-examination Committee regarding the Participatory Pension Scheme for State Government Employees. The government has not yet released the contents of the report submitted by the review committee in April 2021, even after being instructed by the Information Commissioner. The case in this regard is now in the Supreme Court.
The scheme, which was launched in the state on April 1, 2013, now has one and a half lakh employees as members. In the 2016 assembly elections, it had promised to review the participatory pension scheme if the Left Front came to power. However, the committee was appointed when the tenure of the first Pinarayi government was about to end. The report given by the committee was not examined by the government even after 2 years.
The cabinet has taken a decision on one of the main demands of the employees amid intense anger among the employees over non-payment of salary revision and dearth allowance. The approaching Lok Sabha elections also led to this decision. It is indicated that the recommendation of the expert committee report is that there are practical obstacles to the withdrawal of the participation pension scheme and instead more benefits should be given to the employees.
The government has two options either to withdraw the participation pension scheme or to maintain the scheme with more benefits. Even though the central government and many states have increased the government allocation for the pension scheme, Kerala is not ready to increase it.
March against the project in Delhi
The Parliament along with the CPM’s service organizations are marching tomorrow demanding the withdrawal of the Participatory Pension Scheme across the country. CPM organizations had to face severe criticism from the employees in the campaign for this. 6 states including Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan have withdrawn from the scheme.
