Several shots fired at the Oslo pub

This is what police lawyer Cecilie Gulnes in the Oslo police district informs TV 2.

On Tuesday, he will be produced for custody. The man’s defender, lawyer Audun Beckstrøm, has not responded to TV 2’s inquiries. It is therefore unknown how the man reacts to the attempted murder.

– He has been aware that we were looking for him, and he volunteered enough to avoid us arresting him abroad, says police attorney Gulnes.

Coincidences

It was around 01.00 on Saturday night two weeks ago when the police received reports of shootings at the Flirt pub in Greenland.

Several marks were found on the pub’s façade after shots that were probably fired with handguns. No one was physically injured.

– That no one was hit is due to coincidences. There were people both inside and in the door on the way out of the pub, says Gulnes.

According to the police attorney, the case has been intensely investigated since the incident. Already the same weekend, one person was arrested. He is still charged in the case, but was still released after a short time.

Difficult to investigate

Gulnes says that they link the incident to an environment they are familiar with.

– These are difficult environments to investigate up against, where more people do not want to talk to the police, she says.

– Do you still have an idea of what is the background for the shooting?

– It is something that is the subject of investigation. We have done a lot in two and a half weeks, but I do not want to go out with what hypotheses we are working on, she says.

Guests at the pub and other witnesses have explained that four or five shots were fired, the police have previously stated. Police have still not found any weapons they link to the incident.

Formally, no one has been given the status of offended in the case yet.
