A local resident reported the fraud to the police. She said that on October 21 she wrote a message in a WhatsApp group where announcements about the sale of meat are published.
The group administrator replied that at present her request to purchase minced meat could not yet be fulfilled, since it was not available. Later, she received a message from an unfamiliar number that she could purchase minced meat at an even lower price than what was offered in the group. The girl sent money to the specified number – 13 thousand tenge, but did not receive the product.
After losing the money, the victim decided to contact the police. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into this fact under Article 190 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Fraud”, and the necessary investigative actions are being carried out.
The Kostanay Regional Police Department once again appealed to residents of the region with a request to be vigilant and not to trust dubious reports.
