Scientists believe they have discovered the origin of the deadly virus that has spread worldwide – World

Scientists believe that poisonous snakes consumed by the Chinese population could be the source of the coronavirus that has already claimed more than two dozen deaths. These animals are sold at the seafood market in Wuhan, China, the city where the virus spread.

According to The Conversation, countless scientists have been analyzing the genetic code of the coronavirus and recently found that the code present in the samples is identical to that of other viruses present in snakes, bats and birds.

This epidemic originated in the Chinese city where the market that sells reptiles consumed by the population is located. Chinese snakes or Taiwan snakes are a highly poisonous reptile species residing in central and southern China.

The animals are not only sold in the city where the virus originated, but they also hunt bats, another possible animal species that can be infected with the virus similar to the corona.

This epidemic has already killed 25 people and infected more than 600, leading to the isolation of the city as well as the suspension of some public transport.

Recent reports confirm that there are already people, of Chinese origin, infected in the United States.

O Professor Jürgen Haas recently told the The Guardian, that four tourists, from Wuhan, are being examined in Edinburgh and Glasgow, United Kingdom, on suspicion of having the disease. So far none of the tests carried out confirm the suspicions raised by doctors.

The first report of this epidemic took place in December 2019 and spread rapidly. According to the scientists in question, they are looking for animals that suffer from the similar virus, but the searches have been troubled since the market was closed and disinfected in the face of recent events.
