The program for the festival year “1,700 Years of Jewish Life in Germany” is as diverse as Judaism itself. Charlotte Knobloch and Dr. Ludwig Spaenle give an insight into the abundance of the various events, ranging from Jewish humor to the peculiarities of Jewish cuisine to forgotten places of Jewish culture. Despite all the joy about the upcoming festive year, the worrying developments throughout Europe should not go unaddressed. Andreas Bönte and his two guests discuss the current situation of Jews in Germany and talk about ways in which the growing anti-Semitism can be effectively countered.
