Sabina will give a concert in NY, part of a world tour

The Spanish singer-songwriter Joaquín Sabina included the United States in his “Against all odds” tour with two concerts, in New York and Miami, as part of the tour that begins this February in Latin America with the best-known hits of the Andalusian musician.

Joaquín Sabina (Úbeda, Jaén, 1949) announced this Thursday that his world tour, which will begin on February 25 in Costa Rica, now includes these two American cities.

In the United States it will be presented in New York (Hulu Theater) on November 16, and in Miami (Miami Dade Arena) on the 19th of that same month, according to a statement.

The tour includes Colombia, Chile, Peru, Argentina and Uruguay; It will continue through Spain and will arrive in Mexico, the United States and the Caribbean in the fall, detailed the statement released this Thursday.

About to turn 74 this February, “back from everything and cured of fears for being old and for the devil”, the author of universal themes such as “And they gave us ten o’clock” announced his return to the stage “to the delight of himself himself and his audience,” the statement added.

These are “essential quotes from this survivor who will never tire of celebrating with his songs the irreverent and passionately beautiful vision of life from the treacherous night, feverish love and unmitigated heartbreak,” he adds.

“NEWLY ANNOUNCED: Joaquín Sabina will bring the Against All Odds Tour to the Hulu Theater on MSG on November 16! Access pre-sale tickets starting this Thursday, February 2 at 10 am with the code SOCIAL.

“Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, February 3 at 10 am,” the Hulu Theater wrote in a social media post announcing the New York performance.

The tour “Against all odds” comes after the presentation at the end of last year of the biographical documentary “Sentiendo lo mucho”, by the Spanish filmmaker Fernando León de Aranoa.

In the documentary, Sabina speaks openly about her stage fright, which persists despite her half-century of career behind her and being considered an essential figure in contemporary Spanish popular music.

With the tour, Sabina concludes her recent period behind closed doors and reopens “the canteen of her live shows”, with “massive rituals” in which the singer-songwriter will present her songs live, “universal hymns adhered to the genetics of the popular culture of several generations,” the statement said.
