Until 10:00 this morning, 10,247 new corona infections were reported to RIVM. That is 856 less than yesterday.
On average, the number of positive corona tests is increasing: in the past seven days, an average of 10,052 positive tests were registered per day. That is 79 percent more than the seven days before.
The number of new hospital admissions is slowly rising again, according to figures from the National Coordination Center for Patients Spreading (LCPS). Last week, 245 people were hospitalized, compared to 80 a week earlier. Most people were admitted outside the intensive care unit.

Which figures does Rijnmond use?
We use the figures that the RIVM publishes every day at 3:15 pm on this page. These figures come from the GGD Rotterdam-Rijnmond and the GGD Zuid-Holland Zuid, but can deviate from the corona dashboard per day.
This can be for various reasons, for example the time at which the figures are entered and the fact that our region consists of two GGDs. Both GGDs have a different working method regarding the daily figures. By using the same source every day, we have the best view of developments over several days and weeks.
