Kopeks, Lada and Volga without a run – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

News that somewhere in Europe or America was discovered an abandoned warehouse of a bankrupt dealer, inside which were a dozen completely new cars from the past, appear with enviable regularity. Given the modern nostalgia for Soviet life and the desire of grown-up boys to restore their father’s “Lada”, we decided to see if you can find on sale domestic cars from the past that have never gone anywhere.

Almost never met real motorists who did not dream of restoring some retrocar for summer walks on a day off. But what a sin there is to hide, even he himself participated in such an adventure. I want to say right away that this is not a very grateful business. Even unprofessional restoration takes an incredible amount of time and energy to search for spare parts and, most importantly, smart craftsmen with hands – the latter in Russia is just some kind of trouble.

Talking about financial costs without tears is completely impossible. Get ready for the fact that the restored machine will suck out more or less free money. Well, you don’t have to talk about making money on the project, then putting the “classics” up for sale – if you manage to “go to zero”, consider that you are very lucky. The resale of retro cars is the lot of people and ateliers, which in Russia can be counted on the fingers of one hand.

If you want a classic car in any case, but there is no energy or desire to restore it, but there is a limited amount of money, then you should start looking for a ready-made retrocar, the best of which is domestic, as it will be cheaper in general and easier to maintain .

Here, by itself, it simply will not be either. Ready-made retro cars are different. First of all, these are restored cars, that is, completely disassembled, restored and assembled back. Depending on the level of restoration, the price also differs, but most often it will not be 100% original.

Much more interesting are cars that have been preserved in perfect factory condition. There are even canned samples that, since leaving the assembly line, have never hit the road or have minimal mileage. Here, too, it is worth looking carefully, because for such instances a blende is often issued.

There is a really well-preserved car, which, using professional deteyling, is brought to an ideal, after which a simple mechanical odometer is twisted, a story is invented and the car is given out for unsold stock leftovers.

We look at whether it is possible and for how much to find Soviet classics in original condition.

Moskvich Pavel offers for sale the “Five” with a mileage of 375 km. The car is from the last batches of AvtoVAZ produced in 2004, and therefore it has no collectible value and it will not be soon enough to fall into the “retro” category.

Where the car was and why it didn’t drive for 16 years is not specified, however, judging by the description, the seller is confident in its originality. Purely theoretically, after all the checks, it’s only worth buying the Russian, not the Soviet Five, only for further canning for 30 years.

Much more interesting is Alexei’s proposal from the Moscow Region. The “Kopeyka” in 1974 with the declared mileage of 1000 km was preserved, it can be said, in perfect condition, as evidenced by the chrome parts, the native interior and the gum on the pedals. Even the original Soviet service book has been preserved.

Although the owner directly writes that the paint is not all native, it does not seem to be much for restoration, since the price is very low. To be honest, in this announcement this is the main embarrassing factor, because for a car that will hit 50 years after 4 years, in this state you can ask for more.

VAZ 2101 “Police” for 170,000 rubles

A very interesting lot is offered for sale in Moscow. Police “Kopeyka” in 1978 for easy restoration, but rather even for extended maintenance and high-quality deteyling.

It can be seen that the car body is kept in excellent condition, minor damage in the cabin. In the presence of a native flashing beacon and speaker. The car is in the Soviet numbers. The only drawback is the lost documents.

VAZ 2102 for 500 000 rubles

An interesting instance was put up for sale by Konstantin from St. Petersburg. Alas, the car is not original, but restored, with elements of optional tuning on the interior for the sake of a common color scheme.

Curious wagon VAZ 2102 1973 of its relative rarity. If “Kopek” was released almost five million, then “Twos” – only 666 989 pieces. A worthy option for preservation, whose interior it would be better to return to its original state.

IZh Moskvich 412 for 954,000 rubles

In Voronezh, a representative of the well-known network of car dealerships for the sale of used cars offers to purchase a surviving copy of the “Four hundred and Twelfth Moskvich” with a mileage of 678 km, however, already in the post-Soviet period – 1994 release.

Unfortunately, the description and history of the car are missing. By car, slight traces of corrosion are visible, but the rest of the IL in its original state. Sellers for not the most valuable from a historical point of view retrocar fully charged – almost a million rubles.

UAZ 469 for 620,000 rubles

Car for nostalgic service in the Soviet army. In Sergiev Posad, an unmanned military UAZ 469 from 1975 with mileage … 24 km was put up for sale. The owner even did a re-preservation and full maintenance on the machine. In fact, the SUV is new, apparently because it is being sold at the price of the new Hunter.

The equipment is not unique, canned army vehicles for sale pop up regularly due to the scale of the presence of the USSR armed forces on the planet. During the devastation of the 90s, such machines were offered to redeem officers of the disbanded units, and then to everyone.

GAZ 24 Volga for 500 000 rubles

All in the same Voronezh is not very expensive compared to other ads sold “Twenty-fourth Volga” 1981 commander black with a stated mileage of 1000 km.

Unfortunately, the description for the car is completely missing. The condition in appearance can be assessed as excellent except for the presence of some non-native parts. Details about whether this is an original car or a reconditioned one will have to be recognized by telephone.

Another “Volga” in 1980 with a range of 600 km (184 km in the photo of the odometer) is offered to buy Ashot from Pyatigorsk. Unfortunately, the ad is not the most successful photographs, which show that the car is clearly in very good condition, but how much is not visible.

Description in oriental style without a history of ownership. Given that the owner wants serious money for the car, it is clearly necessary to work on the presentation of the goods, and the potential buyer to do a serious check.

In Moscow, the famous studio “Old Time” put up for sale “Volga” 1973 release with a stated mileage of 310 km. The car was restored to a completely original conveyor state, and according to the description by the engineers of GAZ itself.

The truth is not clear what the condition of the original machine was and how deep the work was carried out. One way or another, the condition of the machine is clearly designed for further conservation, which can turn into a good investment.
