Prof. Hristo Mermerski passed away. His son Yonko announced the sad news on his Facebook profile.
“My dear friends, today the magnificent life trajectory of my God-chosen father – Professor Hristo Minkov Mermerski has come to its end,” wrote his son Yonko Mermerski.
Prof. Mermerski is a Bulgarian agrobiologist and politician. He is known for his books on healing and healthy eating, folk medicine and natural medicine. He was born on July 24, 1934 in the village of Botevo, Vrachan region. He graduated from the specialty “Biotechnology” at the Agricultural Academy. He is defending his doctorate in Moscow. In the 1970s he was Deputy Minister of Agriculture. As of 2020, Prof. Mermerski has written 31 books. Co-authored with his son, Yonko Mermerski, he has published 13 books in the field of medicinal properties of over 200 foods and herbs.
The pilgrimage to the professor will be on December 23 at 11 in the church of S. Sofia.
