Coronavirus mortality record beaten in Poland

More than 650 Poles have died from the coronavirus in a day – the country’s population is 38 million.

In Poland, the maximum number of patients with COVID-19 has died per day since the beginning of the pandemic. This was reported by the country’s Ministry of Health on Wednesday, March 31.

On the eve, laboratory tests confirmed the presence of coronavirus in 32,874 people – almost three thousand more than last Wednesday. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, there have already been 2,321,717 cases of coronavirus in Poland.

At the same time, 653 patients with coronavirus died in a day, a total of 53,045 Poles.

At the moment, 31,311 people with coronavirus have been hospitalized in Poland, 3,093 of them are connected to mechanical ventilation devices (ventilators) with 3,961 ventilators, 449,126 people are in quarantine, 1,861,925 have recovered.
