Carrefour brand one-kilo packages of basmati rice sold in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Ile-de-France have been recalled since Friday, due to a risk of the presence of insects or larvae.
“For reasons of contamination, of external or other origin, or by putrefaction, deterioration or decomposition, it is recommended as a precaution to people who have them not to use them.“, indicates the Rappel Conso site which encourages people to no longer consume these packets of rice and to return the product to the point of sale.
This recall affects lots numbered 322822 and sold between August 28 and November 30, 2023. The product’s GTIN is 3560070837984.
Customers can contact the Carrefour brand’s consumer service for a refund. The recall procedure will remain in effect until January 30.
