Since January 1, the Low Emission Zone (ZFE) encompassing Lyon, Villeurbanne, Vénissieux, Bron and Caluire-et-Cuire has imposed new restrictions.

The ban on professional vehicles with too high Crit’Air stickers continued. In addition to Crit’Air 4 and 5, Crit’Air are no longer allowed to circulate and park in this perimeter.

The craftsmen, for whom the purchase of a fleet of cleaner vehicles is sometimes an impossible mission in too short a time, hoped to obtain at least a deadline. The various federations have been working for weeks with the Métropole de Lyon to extend the deadline. But progress reveals this Tuesday that the negotiations have, for the moment, failed. The six-month period to renew its fleet was refused by elected environmentalists. Any craftsman with a Crit’Air sticker other than 0, 1 and 2 caught driving in the ZFE sector is liable to a fine of 68 euros if it is a light vehicle, and 135 euros for the weights. heavy.

The Metropolis would not however have turned a deaf ear and will agree to offer a period of 12 months to professionals who can justify ordering a vehicle 0 or 1. Aid could also be disclosed by the community, but not before spring. By then, the first fines may have already fallen.
