Vienna (OTS) – NEOS urge Doskozil, the governor of Burgenland, to immediately withdraw the prescribed access restrictions for Lake Neusiedl. “This restriction on freedom of movement is clearly unconstitutional,” says deputy NEOS club chairman Niki Scherak. “An entry ban for people who live more than 15 kilometers away from Lake Neusiedl can never be permitted. This is a completely objective and therefore impermissible restriction of freedom, especially since the Neusiedler See region is not under quarantine. “
What would be legally and in terms of health protection would be a visitor restriction in the seaside resorts, analogous to the new regulations in retail, said NEOS Vienna club chairman Christoph Wiederkehr. “But what Doskozil presented is arbitrary – and we cannot use that, especially in times like these. Instead of building walls, we have to stick together now! “
