MEXICO CITY.
Hugo López-Gatell, Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, confirmed tonight that the National Sana Distancia Day will conclude next May 30, throughout the national territory to make way for what experts have called “the new normality “
He stressed that despite the end of the National Day of Sana Distancia on May 30, strict health security prevention measures must continue.
“What is the fundamental change? The national measures implied by the National Day of Healthy Distance come to an end, come to the scheduled end, but given the heterogeneity of transmission, given that we will have cities, metropolises, areas, states that have high transmission processes, processes of initiation of the high transmission, these places will not be able to relax the confinement measures and will have to apply them locally ”, he commented.
He explained that by removing the measures of a national nature, it allows the population that is in areas of very low transmission, or low transmission or that is already declining transmission, to be released into the national territory, “but of course the areas where the area of ascent or Phase 3 should retain this type of measures. “
