Moroccan artist Dounia Batma speaks out on one-year prison sentence in “Hamza Moon Baby” case

Al-Marsad newspaper: Moroccan artist Dounia Batma commented on her one-year prison sentence, in the case known as the “Hamza Moon Baby” account, in which her sister, Ibtissam Batma, is also accused.

She said in a video clip: “My sister and I are innocent of the Moon Baby account. Whoever wants it, whoever hates it, and the court rejected the cassation ruling due to false testimony.”

Batma added that she was exposed to a large conspiracy, in which her ex-husband, Muhammad al-Turk, was involved, stressing that he was revealing her secrets to her opponents in order to discredit her and put her in prison.

She added that she was subjected to a murder attempt while driving her car in the city of Kenitra, Morocco, and until now she is receiving threats to kill her and remove her from the artistic scene.

It is worth noting that Dounia Batma and her sister were accused years ago in the famous case known as “Hamza Moon Baby” related to exposing suspicious relationships between celebrities in Morocco.

The court ruled to imprison Donia Batma and her sister for a year, and the ruling became enforceable.
