The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed it is reviewing allegations of abuse made against Marilyn Manson.
In a statement to Billboard, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said its special office for victims “is investigating allegations of domestic violence involving Mr. Brian Warner, also known as Marilyn Manson, who works in the music industry ”. It is mentioned that “the incidents occurred between 2009 and 2011, when Mr. Warner was living in the city of West Hollywood”.
At least 11 women have now come forward to accuse Manson of physical and mental abuse, including actress Evan Rachel Wood, who said Mr Warner “had abused her for years”. Due to the number of women involved in Mr Warner’s designation, it is not yet clear which allegations are under investigation.
In the previous weeks, several US politicians have asked the FBI to look into the allegations against the singer.
In light of the torrent of allegations against Manson earlier this month, the musician was let go by his record company, manager and various collaborators, and was kicked out of the TV shows he was supposed to be a part of. Nevertheless, Manson has seen an increase in the number of his streams on digital platforms.
