Forestry and firefighting authorities have raised the level of response in each affected area and issued an evacuation order for residents.

First of all, four cities and counties are currently receiving wildfires: Andong and Yecheon, Gyeongbuk, Hadong, Gyeongnam, and Yeongdong, Chungbuk.
The Forest Service issued a’severe’ stage of national crisis warning of forest fires to local governments here at 5:45 pm today.
In addition, as forest fires spread in Andong and Yecheon, North Gyeongsang Province, the forestry and firefighting authorities have taken steps 2 and 1 respectively.
The fire started at Mt. Mangcheon-ri, Imdong-myeon, Andong-si, around 3:20 pm today.
The forest authorities and fire departments are using fire trucks to put out the fire, but the helicopter was withdrawn due to the night situation.
A forest fire has spread to the surroundings, and the second stage of response has been issued around 5:50 pm.
Accordingly, the fire authorities in Gyeongnam, Daegu, Ulsan, Changwon, Chungnam, Daejeon, and Busan are also mobilizing all available resources, such as mobilizing manpower.
First of all, Andong City ordered residents of Jungpyeong-ri in Imdong-myeon to evacuate to Sugok-ri and Gocheon-ri, but the damage to life has not been counted.
Then, around 4:10 pm this afternoon, a fire broke out at Yasan, Jeonjeon-ri, Gamcheon-myeon, Yecheon-gun, Gyeongbuk.
Earlier, the forestry and firefighting authorities issued a first step in response, including 19 fire engines and 3 helicopters.
However, as forest fires are spreading through the wind, Yecheon-gun has issued an evacuation order for nearby residents and is putting all efforts into establishing a defensive line to prevent it from spreading to the surrounding area.
Previously, forest fires occurred at about 2:40 pm in Yasan in Akyang-myeon, Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, and at Yasan Mountain in Maegok-myeon, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do.
Due to the strong wind, it seems that it will take time to fully evolve.
Earlier, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, which is the general department of disaster and safety, started operating the forest fire countermeasure support headquarters from 6 pm today and dispatched the site situation management team.
As the forest fire spread through strong winds, the Minister of Public Administration and Safety Jeon Jeon Cheol also ordered the forestry, fire departments and local governments to minimize damage.
The former minister stressed that the available resources should be quickly put in, and special care should be taken to ensure that no human damage occurs during the night evolution process.
