The government will try to keep the covid supplement of BGN 60 for pensioners after June
To stand and watch – so Lena Borislavova, government spokeswoman, addressed the former Minister of Health, whose name she did not mention, explaining in the program “120 minutes” on BTV that the government is working the pay system and health care really be changed.
In the coming weeks there will be a qualitative increase in the salaries of medical specialists, Borislavova said. According to her, for the time being it is planned for a young doctor with a specialty to receive a minimum salary of BGN 2,000, and a nurse – BGN 1,500.
She explained that for her the payment of doctors is a cause, as her sister is a young doctor who worked for 2 years in a covid ward with a salary of BGN 950. However, due to working conditions, she chose to emigrate.
Kovid’s supplement of BGN 60 for pensioners, which is valid until June, may remain after that, Borislavova explained. The government is trying to permanently change the calculation of pensions so that the income that is guaranteed does not fall, she said.
At the same time, all pensioners will receive a BGN 70 Easter bonus. The amount was chosen after the government had previously checked the budgetary possibilities provided by the Ministry of Finance.
