Phil Chetwynd, the global news director of Agence France-Presse (AFP), weighed in on the issue and stated that the royal residence is “absolutely not” reliable.

Chetwynd explained that the manipulated photo raised “major issues” and violated the AFP’s rules. He emphasized the importance of trust in institutions and criticized the falling public trust in the media.
