Outrageous Behavior Caught on Camera

A Democratic Pennsylvania state lawmaker has found himself at the center of a controversy after a profanity-laced tirade at a local bar, accompanied by threats to shut it down.

A Lawmaker’s Public Meltdown

Rep. Kevin Boyle, 44, reportedly targeted Gaul & Co. Malt House in Rockledge, PA, where he is said to have verbally assaulted a female bartender. Disturbing footage of the incident, which has since gone viral, captures Boyle’s explosive behavior. According to the footage, Boyle launched into a profanity-laced tirade after refusing to comply with the bartender’s multiple requests to leave the premises.

“I can f–king end this bar by the way, I’d f–king end this bar if I wanted to,” Boyle can be heard screaming in the video.

As tensions escalated, Boyle continued to insult the bar’s employees, declaring, “You’re all f–king a–holes, by the way” as he grabbed his jacket preparatory to storming out. Other individuals off camera can be heard advising Boyle to leave before the police are called.

A key moment during the confrontation occurred when someone pointed out to Boyle that he was actually the one who initiated the argument. This observation momentarily shifted Boyle’s aggression.

Before ending the incident, Boyle accused everyone in the bar of collaborating with the federal government, uttering, “This is US military intelligence, and traitors,” before abruptly cutting short his own words.

Explosive Accusations and Power Abuse

During his furious tirade, Boyle labelled the hardworking bar employees as “idiots” and accused them of being “actors.” In a display of power abuse, Boyle threatened to use his political status to hinder the employees’ promotions.

He declared, “Stop it, don’t you think I’m gonna prevent your promotion in the United States military?” In an attempt to ascertain the bar patrons’ military affiliations, Boyle pointed around the room, receiving no affirmations.

Paying the Price for an Outrageous Outburst

Remarkably, as Boyle stood his ground, defying the bartender’s repeated requests for him to leave, he made a point of settling his bill. At one moment, he contemplated the difficulty of the situation, stating, “This is so aggressive, you can’t talk to me like this, I’ll close your f–king bar!”

Indeed, Boyle brazenly threatened the bar’s closure, asking belligerently, “This bar is done, do you know who the f–k I am?” The bar in question is located in Montogomery County, which is included in the Pennsylvania 172 district Boyle has represented since his election in 2011, in addition to parts of Philadelphia.

Concerns Raised About Mental State

This incident comes at a time when questions have been raised about Boyle’s mental wellbeing. In 2021, he was arrested and faced charges of harassment and violating a protection order filed by his wife. Subsequently, Boyle was removed from his position as House Finance Committee chairman and faced restrictions when accessing the Capitol.

The Pennsylvania House Democratic Leaders have acknowledged the video of Boyle’s outburst and expressed hopes that the representative would seek assistance with his personal challenges. They have reaffirmed their commitment to prioritizing mental health services.
