The Jewish media reported that Washington’s final proposal to representatives of Lebanon and “Israel” regarding the demarcation of maritime borders is a compromise on the maritime dispute that lasted years between Beirut and Tel Aviv.-
Jewish channel I24 said “Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid should address the issue in detail at the start of the government meeting”.
The channel indicated that “the political and security cabinet is expected to meet next Thursday (after Yom Kippur) and approve the agreement”.
Yesterday, Saturday, the general secretary of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, stressed that it is the Lebanese state that takes the decision it deems appropriate in the interest of the country to delimit the southern maritime borders.
Nasrallah said there are decisive days in this file and it will become clear what the position of state officials is and where things are going.
