Al-Marsad Newspaper – SPA: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – presided over the session held by the Council of Ministers today, at the Peace Palace in Jeddah.

The beginning of the session

At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Council of Ministers on the contents of the messages he sent – may God protect him – to the President of the Republic of Zambia, the President of the Republic of Angola, the President of the Republic of Seychelles, and the President of the United Republic of the Comoros, relating to relations between the Kingdom and their countries. And ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields.

In his statement to the Saudi Press Agency after the session, His Excellency the Minister of Information, Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari, stated that the Cabinet discussed developments in international cooperation with various countries of the world, within the framework of what the Kingdom attaches to the importance of collective action and the consolidation of the multilateral approach. To contribute to overcoming common challenges and provide conditions of security and stability that support the paths of development and economic progress.

Emphasis on the Kingdom’s keenness for global economic prosperity

In this context, the Council affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness on cooperation and trade integration for the prosperity of the global economy, and this is evident in the pioneering efforts it made within the framework of the Group of Twenty, and the initiatives included in (Vision 2030) to enhance the integration of the Saudi economy into the regional and global systems.

Noting the Kingdom’s interest in developing promising sectors

The Cabinet noted the state’s interest in developing promising and new sectors and expanding its economic and developmental contributions, including the launch of the master plan for logistical centers, which aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s link with global markets by benefiting from its strategic location between the three continents.

The Council reviewed the topics on its agenda, including topics that the Shura Council participated in studying. It also reviewed the conclusions of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, the Council of Political and Security Affairs, the General Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Council of Experts in the Council of Ministers.

Firstly:

Approving the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and each of: (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Independent State of Samoa, the Republic of Nauru, the Republic of Kiribati, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Independent State of Papua New Guinea) at the level of (non-resident ambassador), and authorizing His Highness the Minister Ministry of Foreign Affairs – or whomever he delegates – to sign the draft protocols necessary for this.

secondly:

Approval of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Supreme Council in the Republic of Uganda in the field of Islamic affairs.

Third:

Authorizing His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources – or his representative – to discuss with the Indonesian side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in the Republic of Indonesia for cooperation in the field of mineral wealth.

Fourthly:

Authorizing His Excellency the Minister of Investment – or his representative – to discuss with the Slovak side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Slovak Republic for cooperation in the field of encouraging direct investment.

Fifth:

Authorizing His Excellency the Minister of Commerce, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization – or his representative – to discuss with the Singaporean side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Singaporean Agency for Standardization in the Republic of Singapore.

Sixthly:

Approval of an agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion with regard to taxes on income.

Seventh:

Authorizing His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Agency – or his representative – to discuss with the Japanese side a draft memorandum of understanding between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the State of Japan for cooperation in the field of peaceful use of outer space.

Eighth:

Authorizing His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Organization for Social Insurance – or his representative – to discuss with the Moroccan and Jordanian sides a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of social insurance between the General Organization for Social Insurance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Depositary and Management Fund in the Kingdom of Morocco and a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation In the field of social insurance between the General Organization for Social Insurance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the General Organization for Social Security in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Ninth:

Authorizing His Excellency the Minister of Commerce, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Competitiveness – Omen Yanebeh – to sign the draft United Nations Convention on International Antiquities for the Judicial Sale of Ships.

Tenth:

Approval of the Agricultural Development Fund system.

Government agencies are obligated to verify, when contracting with a carrier, the availability of operating cards for trucks issued by the Public Transport Authority for vehicles with a total weight of more than (3500) kilograms, instead of linking the exchange of financial extracts for contracts for the provision of vehicle transportation services to the document approved by the Public Transport Authority for each transportation trip. .

Amending the organization of the Saudi Society of Internal Auditors, issued by Cabinet Resolution No. (84) dated 3/25/1432 AH, as stated in the resolution.

Approval of two promotions to the ranks (fifteenth) and (fourteenth), as follows:

Promotions:

Engineer Nasser bin Khaled bin Nasser Al-Madhi is promoted to the position of (General Manager) at the fifteenth rank at the Ministry of National Guard.

Dhaif Allah bin Ramadan bin Sunaidh Al-Ayashi Al-Anzi is promoted to the position of (legal advisor) at the (fourteenth) rank at the Public Security.

The Council of Ministers also reviewed a number of general topics on its agenda, including annual reports of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, the Saudi Center for Economic Business, the National Center for Mental Health Promotion, and King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, and the Council has taken the necessary measures regarding these issues.
