Jackie Chan talks about his possible return to the cinema with ‘Rush’ – Cinema and Tv – Culture

After years of silence in the seventh art, the famous actor Jackie Chan would return to the cinema with the launch of the project ‘Rush’, the long-awaited fourth installment of the “Rush Hour” saga.

With surprise The actor’s appearance this week at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, many rumors began to circulate in the world of the seventh art.

“We’re talking part four right now” about the action series that last premiered 15 years ago, Chan revealed to the crowd in attendance, as reported by “GQ” magazine.

In “Rush Hour”, Chan, a Hong Kong police officer, teams up with Los Angeles detective Chris Tucker, to rescue the kidnapped daughter of the Chinese consul.

The second film took the unlikely pair to Hong Kong, while the third took them to Paris to defeat the Chinese triad. The first film was released in 1998, with its two sequels in 2001 and 2007, the Entertainment magazine recalls.

In 2018 on ESPN’s The Plug podcast, Tucker confirmed that the fourth film was definitely happening, saying “this is going to be the thrill of the whole ride. Jackie is ready and we want to make it so people never forget.”

“Chan has largely remained out of the Hollywood spotlight since the early 2010s, with the exception of a role in the remake of ‘The Karate Kid.’Pierce Brosnan’s 2017 film ‘The Foreigner’ and voice-over roles,” recalls ‘CQ’.

“There are so many good action stars,” he said. “My action is better than other people’s, not because I’m really good, but because I write a script that suits me. I can use the camera angle to enhance my action. At night, I go home and edit myself and use those kinds of things to enhance my action,” Chan said in Saudi Arabia.

“Rush Hour 4, if it finally gets made, could be his big big screen comeback in Hollywood, although she was also initially the first choice for Daniels’ sensational ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ before the role went to Michelle Yeoh.”
