NEW YORK — Police are investigating after the body of an adult was found in a trash bag in the Bronx.
The officers went to the 2225 Lacombe Avenue after receiving a 911 call around 9 p.m. on October 26. Once they arrived, officers found a woman unconscious inside a trash bag behind the address, police said.
The paramedics went to the address in the Castle Hillbut they declared the victim dead at the scene.
The victim was later identified as Melissa Stout, 32, who was listed as a resident of the address where her body was found, police said.
The medical examiner has not yet determined the cause of death. There have been no arrests in the case and police continue the investigation, the NYPD said.
